— Will You Join Our Board?

All positions were filled at our Rosedale School Council Annual General Meeting on June 16, 2026. Positions for volunteers are still available with the Rosedale School Association for the 2026–27 school year.

We are currently seeking interested parents for the following:

School Association

  • Director-at-Large (Fundraising Lead) – participates in board discussions and helps coordinate the Association's occasional fundraising initiatives.

  • Director-at-Large (Marketing Lead) – participates in board discussions and helps keep the school website and social media channels up to date.

These roles are a great opportunity to help shape school initiatives, strengthen our parent community, and support the programs and events that make Rosedale such a special place for students and families. No previous board experience is required. Current board members are happy to answer questions and support new volunteers.

  • National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

    Students and staff will have no school on Wednesday, September 30, in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

  • Jacket Racket - Winter Gear

    Going through your child(ren)’s gear to prepare for the coming weather…? Too small…? Please donate gently-used items (mits, toques, snowpants, boots, coats, etc) to the boxes at the school, for the month of October.

    Items will be distributed to families in-need in the CBE this year!

  • Meet The Teacher Night!

    Mark your calendar for Meet The Teacher Night on Thursday, October 1, from 4-6pm! Stay tuned for more information from your child(ren)’s teacher(s) closer to the date.

    Bring cash to buy Bake Sale items from the Grade 9 Sailors!

  • Snack Shack!

    Friday, October 2

    Grade 6-9 students can bring cash to purchase drinks and snacks at recess from the Gr 9 Sailors!

  • Movie Night

    Mark your calendar - the first Movie Night of the year will be on Friday, October 2, from 6 - 7:45pm!

    Bring cash to purchase pizza, popcorn, drinks and snacks from the 2026-2027 Sailors!

    Wear your PJs, bring a stuffed animal! $5/student or $10/family suggested donation.

  • Next Bottle Drive!

    Saturday, October 3

    Please drop off your bottles at the school between 9am-12pm

    OR

    put your donations on the curb by 10am and one of our volunteers will pick them up for you!

    Notice of Special RSA Meeting - there will be a vote to ammend the bylaws (tidying the fiscal year-end timing). Also, if there are any parents willing to put forward their name for one of the two Directors-at-Large, they may be voted in at this meeting.

  • Halloween Dance

    Thursday, October 29

    Families and students, ghouls and fairies, ghosts and witches…whoever you are, dress up in your costume - there will be prizes!

    Bring cash to purchase treats from the Sailors and come boogie the night away!

    Cash donation by families suggested to support School Council events like this!

  • Pizza Lunch!

    Junior High students can bring cash to purchase pizza (and snack shack items) at lunch!
